I was just about to fw the url of this vid to my friends to ask what they made of this "we're all just monkeys" message, then i heard the podcast (below) that answered my question perfectly (specifically the bit 20 min in).

The author of the video forgets that we are as similar to other anmials as they are similar to us.

Animals have emotions.

Animals fight for territory - look at a seagulls nest site.

Animals form groups so they are more cohesive to fight off their enemies - why do Lions have prides.

The problem I have with the video is that it does not extend the idea that we animals for enough.
