HELLO WORLD.
Well, here goes.
And thus begins the grand experiment of converting my website to a full-fledged blog.
I've come back from the annual TED conference with a head full of steam about the possibilities for the world. We'll see how long it lasts.
My intentions? To fill this daily missive with things that amuse me, things I'm thinking about, and probably more than a few political diatribes.
And away we go...

I wonder the same thing; why a Heresy blog? Why blogs of any kind?
It's an interesting phenomenon -- one that's created the equivelent of a publisher specializing in poorly written, disorganized, largely if not entirely unsubstantiated, disjointed, rambling opinions. Hardly the stuff that would make a success of a skilled and thoughtful writer.
Blogging, I would argue, is one of the awful side effects of technology and, although not part of Ted Kazinski's primary motivation for his actions, would certainly have qualified as such. In fact it would have been understood by any person with even a modest intellectual capacity and appreciation for literary excellence.
The practice of sharing thoughts in this manner seems to have more in common with a trail of marginally-related comments one finds in some of the finer gas station bathrooms, than with intelligent discourse.
But hey, I'm just a stupid art director. Unemployed to boot. Which makes me a crappy art director. And what the hell does an unemployed, crappy art director know about blogging or the literary arts when even the best of the breed don't read copy?
Good luck with the blog, Dave.

I think it's genius. And I work wit many of them, so I know genius when I read it. You, go girl...er, Dave!
